Hello, Again

Hi friends,

It's been a long time. I mean a loooong time since the last post. A lot has happened and changed since then, but that's life, isn't it?

I have decided after much back and forth and a few Instagram polls to brush the dust off this old thing and start writing/blogging/sharing again - at least in a limited capacity for now. A few posts here and there. I'd love to share some of our wedding photos and the stories behind them, as well as create a more shop-able space for my Instagram feed.

My reasons for calling it quits were fairly simple. Maintaining the blog had become much more of a chore than something I enjoyed doing, so far from where I had started. I felt frustrated and stuck so I took a break, as one should at that point. Since then there have been a lot of moments where I missed blogging and having a space to share parts of myself, new things I have discovered (like my new/current skincare routine which has completely transformed my skin!), and more than one photo of the same place or thing. Instagram is wonderful and I obviously love it, but let's be honest, no one wants to read the really long caption to a pretty picture or see a different angle of the same shot in your next post. It's a tough crowd. But a blog, a blog post can be whatever you want it to be and that's why I've decided to revive Prosecco in the Park, and why I can't promise that it will be your typical "life + style" site. I could say that this will be a beautiful, carefully curated list of things I love (which I fully hope it will be), but I refuse to add the pressure that comes along with such lofty aspirations. Instead, the plan is to simply share what feels right, when it feels right to create a more open space.

I truly hope you will follow along.

Let's give this a try, shall we?

  1. I'm so glad to hear you're back to blogging Lyndsay! I know how blogging can become more of a chore and once that happens, it's always good to step away and return feeling inspired and refreshed. Looking forward to reading your upcoming posts:)
