oldies

brooklyn industries jacket {old / similar} . marc by marc jacobs top {very, very old / similar} . american eagle denim . maiden lane flats {last seen here / similar} . fossil clutch {very old / similar} . jouer lip gloss in "monaco" . julep nail polish in "april"

With the change of season I find it very easy to fall into that all too familiar rut of having nothing to wear. I spent each morning last week standing in my closet, going over each piece, wondering what in the world I wore last spring. Did I just not get dressed? And why do I have so few skirts? My solution is to get back to basics, pull out some things I haven't worn in a while and go from there. I've had this top for years and years but it hasn't been in rotation for a while. The last time it was we were  exploring the Roman Forum. I wore it tucked into my jeans with a navy cardigan and boat shoes, a very preppy explorer look. This time I left it untucked for an easy spring weekend look and paired it with things that I've had for just about as long.

  1. I totally feel you, I have done the same recently. I also struggle with the realization that all my black and white clothes seem to be here at Uni and my colourful Summer ones are at home. Basics is such a good look though, and I think we often forget it. Love this look, and that clutch is so pretty :)
