I've never been a "Valentine's Day" girl. Don't get me wrong, I love chocolate, flowers, and any excuse to dress up, but there is just something about this one that I never quite cared for. Regardless, I have rounded up a couple of Valentine's inspired pieces for a romantic date night look.
I read an article earlier this week in which a girl lived a Valentine's "horror story". She wore the wrong shoes, out of season, and then instead of putting on the flats she had with her, continued wearing the ridiculous ones until her wounds became infected. While it sounds more like a lapse of judgement to me let's get real - it's cold outside. Between slushy streets and mystery puddles, you're not going to want to wear anything open toed or suede. This is not the time to experiment with your new spring sandals. Boots are the way to go. I love this Rag and Bone pair, they are cute and comfortable and can be paired with just about everything you own. For a romantic holiday look, I would pair them with this burgundy Rebecca Taylor number, a marble print clutch, shimmery pink lip gloss and nail polish, a sparkly cuff and a blush colored coat.
