boozy nutella hot chocolate

boozy nutella hot chocolate
I haven't had much of an appetite this week as I've been feeling a bit under the weather, and yes, I literally blamed the rainy weather last week for making me sick. But it's Friday and you know what that means, I'm putting on a brave face and spiking my hot chocolate.

I have only ever made hot chocolate either from the recipe on the back of the tin of cocoa powder or out of a packet, so when I came across a recipe that called for only nutella and milk I was intrigued. It was simple, quick to make, and easy to turn into a wintery cocktail of sorts.

3 tablespoons nutella
1 cup almond milk*
1.5 ounces hazelnut liqueur

In a small saucepan, simmer milk over low heat until warm. Stir in nutella until thoroughly mixed. Pour into a mug, top with hazelnut liqueur, and enjoy. It's as simple as that.

*For this recipe, I used almond milk but you can use regular or any kind you'd like really.

Happy Friday and thank you so much for reading!
