black + beige

I thought of this outfit while falling asleep one night, because that's totally normal right? To go over the contents of your closet as you're falling asleep, plan out new combinations, think through your options. Despite the alarming rate at which this linen sweater wrinkles, I love it.  It's that perfect weight for those days where the weather can't quite agree on what season to be. It's been so up and down lately, I have been struggling to get dressed in the morning. Do I need a full on winter coat, a blanket scarf, or just a light sweater? In my sleepy state I thought it would be a good idea to pair it with this skirt, which I bought last year but haven't gotten much use out of. I thought the loose shape of the sweater would fit nicely over this flouncy black skirt. I liked the result a lot more than I thought I would. You can never tell with these on the brink of sleep ideas. When has putting a giraffe in moon boots ever worked? But now I kind of want to wear this combination at least once a week. It's casual and relaxed, but still a little girly.

So tell me, is this outfit planning while falling asleep thing normal?

This is an adorable pairing, too... so your mind wandering to your closet while you're trying to fall asleep seems to be a good way to plan a new outfit! ;)

  16. haha i have been guilty to do the same as well! sometimes i get excited about thinking of new outfits, and i start piecing them together while lying in bed so I don't have to rush and bumble in the morning. And this one came out looking ah-mazing. I definitely like the two baggy pieces together, so pretty and relaxed :)
