This weekend was exhausting. As I briefly mentioned on Friday, JD and I drove up to Rochester in the sketchiest looking van imaginable to visit and bring furniture to his sister. Rochester is not a weekend trip, we knew that going in. Luckily, JD and I make a good road trip team. We once drove back from Ocracoke in one shot, happy as clams the entire way. Of course, that was in a more comfortable, less strangers with candy looking car with excellent gas mileage. But we made the best of it, we played a few improv games, sang a fair amount, and discussed the geology of the landscape as we drove across it. No joke. The red rock in the Catskills is sandstone.
Saturday night we went to dinner at Dinosaur Bar-B-Que. It was the one thing aside from seeing his sister that JD wanted to do. I wore this Dolce Vita dress and let me tell you, it just about glows in the dark. I'm usually not into super bright neon/highlighter hues but I really liked this one, give me a drop waist any day, and it was on sale. Since my dress was so bright I decided to keep the rest of my outfit simple with nude sandals and a tan clutch.
I hope you had a wonderful weekend!
