Corn Maze

Part of our pumpkin picking tradition includes going through
the corn maze at Harbes Farm in Mattituck. The last couple of years went pretty well.
The year with the Lord of the Rings theme we found everything we needed to
and threw the little plastic ring into the papier mache volcano at the end.
Last year, we got a little lost in the Robin Hood themed maze and were sent back
to find one more thing before we could cross the bridge.
The guy was puzzled we had managed to miss it.

This year, we failed miserably.
The theme was historical figures of Long Island.
We were supposed to find Albert Einstein, Chenoa, Theodore Roosevelt, and Captain Kidd.
We found Albert Einstein, Captain Kidd, and two Theodore Roosevelt quotes,
which we were informed do not count as finding Theodore Roosevelt before exiting the maze.
How we made it to the end without finding the rest I don't know, but it seems
to be a recurring theme. Maybe we'll have better luck next year?

  1. sounds like fun! great post

want to follow each other? :)

  2. haha seemed like u had a great time! I would love to have a corn maze in my country too :))

  3. i've never seen a themed corn maze before! i'm just lucky if i can make it to the end in one piece, i don't know if i would be able to do a scavenger hunt on top of that.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read and share your thoughts. I love hearing from you!
